Physical accessibility

The Astrophysical Research Center (ARCO) can be found on the 2nd floor of the Academia Building, in the Open University campus, Ra’anana (see CONTACT for details).

The ARCO seminar room and researchers’ offices are accessible to people with disabilities. Disabled access, accessible parking slots, accessible toilets, and elevators are available to people with disabilities, with the intention of allowing accessibility in all the activities of ARCO in equality with the other researchers and participants. Accessibility is according to the Law of Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities, 1998, and the regulations based on it.

Website accessibility

The website of ARCO is an accessible website that allows people with different abilities to consume its contents. The site provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and support for the accepted usage pattern for keyboard operation. In order to get the best browsing experience with screen reader software, we recommend using NVDA software.

How does accessibility work on the website?

This website is powered by an accessibility plugin. The plugin allows the website to adhere to the guidelines for content accessibility on the Internet. The plugin is subject to the guidelines of the Israeli standard (WCAG 2.0).

The site has an accessibility menu. When clicking on the menu, it will be possible to open the accessibility buttons. After selecting a topic in the menu, wait for the page to load. The plugin works in all browsers.
