I am a philosopher, working on questions at the intersection of the philosophy of science and theoretical physics. What and how can we learn about nature based on its mathematical representation in the fundamental theories of physics? How can philosophical reflections and principles contribute to the advance of physics? Is a naturalist philosophy of science compatible with the formalist nature of contemporary physical theories? My wider interests include the history of physics, epistemology, metaphysics, and the foundations of quantum physics. Some of my recent papers aim to provide a better understanding of the concept of symmetry in contemporary physics, focusing on its application in particle physics and gravitational theories.
