My research focuses on thermodynamics of space-time and its relevance to the foundational aspects of quantum gravity. Unification of quantum physics and gravity is one of the main questions of modern physics, and beginning with the work of Stephen Hawking, it became clear that study of aspects of black hole thermodynamics may be a path to understanding this, and led to an entire field of research in this direction. My current work focuses on the implications of spatial foliation on the possible theory of quantum gravity.
